You and three friends own a paint shop. The shop's profit was $536 in the first month. You always divide the profits equally. In two months, each of you had made $224. How much profit did the shop make in the second month?

first thing u should do is divide $536 by four wich = $134
then u should subtract $224 by $134 because $224 is the profit of 2 months and u are looking for the profit of one month.
224-134= $90
that is the profit ONE person gets so then you multiply that by 4 since they divide it equally
90 x 4 = $360
That is your profit for the second month
