so gradient is 8-(-8)/ 12-4

so 16/8 which is 2

equation of line is: y= 2x+c

substitute the values into x,y

8=2(12)+c

8=24+c

8-24=c

-16= C

this is because when it goes over the equal sign it becomes negative so now the equation is y=2x-16
