Explain how the central and the peripheral nervous system work together to allow you to pick up a can of soda. mention muscles of the forearm in your answer.

Once the visual cortex has established the position of the can, the motor cortex sends a signal through the peripheral nervous system using the efferent neurons to the muscles of the forearm and fingers. This allows the muscles to contract and relax so that the arm moves to the can and the fingers able to grip the can.
