The answer is at the bottom

For this, you can use the Pythagorean theorem, where:

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

You plug in a = 5.9
And plug in b = 6.9

You should get:
5.9^2 + 6.9^2 = c^2

Now, work out the left side of the problem:
34.81 + 47.61 = c ^2

Add the left side
82.42 = c^2

Remember that you can get rid of the square by taking the square root. So you want to take the square root of both sides to get this:

9.1 = c

This is your answer
