The correct answer is Cuba.

During Roosevelt’s leadership, the United States sent troops to occupy Cuba.

President Roosevelt ordered to occupy Cuba in September 1906. This measure was known as the “Pacification of Cuba”. Roosevelt wanted to take care of economic issues of the United States in Cuba, protect U.S. citizens that live in the island, prevent internal riots and guarantee free elections. One month later, the U.S. Navy landed in Cuba. After the elections of January 1906, the troops began to withdraw until they totally left in February.
