Answer with explanation:

It is given that , points , A, B , C and D lie on a line such that,

AB=BC=CD=6 inches

Draw a number line, such that, coordinate of

A=0, B=6, C=12, D=18.

It is given that, mid points of AB and CD is M and N , respectively.

Mid point of AB, which is M

=(0+6)/(2)\\\\=3

Mid Point of CD, which is N

=(12+18)/(2)\\\\=15

So, MN=15-3

=12 inches

Put points A, B, C, and D on a line consecutively, so that AB = BC = CD = 6 in. Find-example-1
