The monomer for carbohydrates are monosaccharides (single sugars) made up of Carbon Hydrogen and Oxygen, to remember this its in the name really CARB(on)O(xygen)HYD(rogen)ATES. We use carbohydrates as our first source of energy, but if not used immediately, it’s converted into fat.

carbohydrates are made up of monosaccharides (ex: single sugars; glucose, fructose, galactose), and the elements are carbon (C), hydrogen (H), and oxygen (O). only know that from the first unit of ap bio lol
