Answer: There are 4 flowerpots in which there will be 2 petunias , 4 carnations, 5 pansies.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of petunias = 8

Number of carnations = 16

Number of pansies = 20

We need to plants the same number of each type of flower in the flower pots.

so, Greatest number of flower = H.C.F of 8 , 16, 20 = 4

So, there are 4 flowerpots she will use .

Number of petunias in each flower pot =
(8)/(4)=2

Number of carnations in each flower pot =
(16)/(4)=4

Number of pansies in each flower pot =
(20)/(4)=5

Hence, there are 4 flowerpots in which there will be 2 petunias , 4 carnations, 5 pansies.
