True. Why? Because most people are eating fast food or junk food and not eating healthy or being nutritious and that can cause the vitamins such as vitamin C and vitamin A to decrease

Answer:

True. Vitamin C is an underconsumed nutrient

Step-by-step explanation:

Vitamin C or ascorbic acid is a vitamin found in a great amount of food. However, even when it is present in fruits, and vegetables. The regular diet of a United States citizen doesn't always include things like: broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, cabbage, turnips, tomatoes, and citric like grapefruit, and other fruits. Americans don't eat many fruits and vegetables. Thus, the consumption of vitamin c is very low. Therefore, companies extract it to sell it as an alimentary supplement to counter that underconsumption.
