How do i solve a quadratic with the quadratic formula

A quadratic equation has a typical format of ax² + bx + c.

So using the coefficient a, b and c, we plug them into the quadratic formula:


x = (-b \pm √(b^2 - 4ac) )/(2a)

Note the
\pm\ .With the formula, we should get 2 answers for x.
