Kenya is a federal state. The country has an elected president and a parliament elected by the people. Although it does not consist of a three tier structure as Nigeria where you have federal, states, and local government. Kenya consist of county and district.

South Africa operate a republican constitution. The president is elected by the people. The country also has an elected parliament. The country is made up of province and district.
