Kathy has 3/4 of a yard of fabric.She needs 3/10 of a yard for each doll dress she makes.How many doll dresses can she make.

3/4 = 75/100
3/10 = 30/100

75/30=2.5

Explanation:

Kathy has 3/4 of a yard of fabric and she needs 3/10 for each doll. To determine the amount of doll dresses she can make we must divide the number of yard by the amount she needs per doll


=(3/4)/(3/10)=(3/4)\cdot{(10/3)}=30/12=5/2=2.5

She can make 2 doll dresses but needs more to complete the 3rd dress.
