hello

Roger is only correct if you are talking about the same number. 10%of 100 is 10 while 25% of 100 is 25. Ok, roger, you win this round. However, if you are talking about different numbers, it will vary. 25% of 4 is 1 while 10% of 1000 is 100. In this case, the 10% of 1000 is bigger than the 25% of 4.

Answer with explanation:

Let one number be "a" and the other be "b" We have to support the inequality:

  • Support 25% of a>10% of b

Let a=100 and b=10

Then 25% of 100=25

and 10% of 10=0.10

As we know that:

25 > 0.10

Hence, a=100 and b=10 supports Fabian statement.

  • Now we have to refute his claim that is we have to take the example such that his claim is incorrect.

i.e. we have to show 25% of a < 10% of b

Let a=1 and b=20

Then 25% of 1=0.25

and 10% of 20=2

As we know that

0.25 < 2

Hence, for a=1 and b=20 his claim is incorrect.
