It could be superior in that the scientific method follows a strict procedure that has to prove a hypothesis.

I would not use the word "inferior." It simply is different because when making decisions in the workplace, you are talking about human behavior, and that is not pure science. Human behavior is a social study, not an exact science.

Can it blind us into thinking it is the only way to gather and interpret data?

The scientific method is important but it is not the only method or tool to make a decision. There have to be many other considerations.

Mu example is when you have to make decisions about employees' behavior. You have to get many considerations, and emotions and feelings are part of it. And this is something where the scientific method has its limitations.
