re-arrange the equation to standard form ax² + bx + c = 0

3x² - 4x + 10 = 0

a = 3
b = -4
c = 10

put these values into the quadratic formula..

x = (-(-4) \ _+_/_-\ √((-4)^2 - 4(3)(10)) )/(2(3)) \\ \\ x = (4 \ _+_/_- \ √(-104) )/(6) \\ \\ x = (2 \ _+/_- \ i√(26) )/(3)
