the volume of the cylinder is defined by V = πr²h
V = π(5²)(8) ≈ 628.32

the volume of a hemisphere is defined by V =
(2)/(3) \pi r^(3)

V =
(2)/(3)( \pi )(5^(3) ) ≈ 261.8

Now adding the two volumes together: 628.32 + 261.8 = 890.12
Note that this is just an estimate because I chose to round the volume of the cylinder and the hemisphere before adding them together..

V = \pi ( 5^(2))(8) + \pi ( (2)/(3) )( 5^(3))
V =
\pi (200 + 83 (1)/(3) )
V =
283 (1)/(3) \pi

The answer is 283 1/3 pi because you have to find the volumes of each and then divide the hemisphere by 2 because its only half of a sphere and then add them together
