think that Jack and the tribe will try to find Ralph, but that he will be able to hide from them. The island is large and full of caves and thick jungle. Wouldn't he be able to hide? Then maybe Jack will get bored and forget about him.

If this is just a prediction then I will try at it. Giving the following above I predict that Ralph will come up with a smart idea to get him out of trouble. I get this idea because the text states, "think that Jack and the tribe will try to find Ralph, but that he will be able to hide from them."Ralph is obviously smart and will come with an idea to free him from all his troubles.
