The capitalist belief influenced British leaders during the early years of industrial revolution as part of the "Industrial Capitalism"; this is a second stage inthe evolution of capitalism , in which profits derived from mercantile capitalism will derive in industrial capitalism, this is to say capital invested in machines that would lead to the Industrial Revolution itself. Adam Smith had great influence in this as he stated in his theories that the world wealth was constant and the only way in which a state could increase wealth was at the expense of less developed economies.
