just replace y with 3 and x with -2

- (2)/( 3) + {( - 2)}^(2) \\ - (2)/(3) + 4 \\ - (2)/(3) + (12)/(3) \\ (10)/(3)

Hi there! The answer is 3 1/3

- (2)/(y) + x {}^(2)
We fill in our given numbers x = -2 and y = 3

- (2)/(3) + ( - 2) {}^(2) = - (2)/(3) + 4 = 3 (1)/(3)
