Matthew galliot and his colleagues asked participants to engage in an initial self-control task, such as suppressing their emotions. next, participants drank kool-aid sweetened with either sugar or an artificial sweetener. how did the drink affect participants' performance on a later self-control task?

I believe the answer is: Participants who drank the sugar drink did better on the second self-control task.
Consuming artificial sweetener would give a boost of energy that make them hyper reacting for a short period of time but would most likely to crash in few hours.
Because of this, the participants who have sugar drink would most likely to perform on self-control task.
