How do historians judge Harriet Tubmans impact on the quest for freedom prior to the civil war

They judge her role to be highly positive and instrumental. She found the underground railroad whose goal was to promote abolitionism and to help slaves run away from the south which was of high importance a decade before the civil war. Because of her work, numerous other people joined the fight to end slavery.
