Answer:

The factor is (x+2).

Explanation:

x^(2) +4x+4

Lets assume this to be zero.

x^(2) +4x+4=0

factoring it we get

x^(2) +2x+2x+4=0

x(x+2)+2(x+2)=0

This gives
(x+2)(x+2) as factors.

Therefore, the factor is (x+2)

We can also check this as :

(x+2)^(2) =x^(2) +4x+4
