Galaxies are large cluster of billions of stars in universe. Galaxies are of different shapes: elliptical, spiral, Lenticular and irregular. An elliptical galaxy is three dimensional ellipsoidal shaped galaxy. Spiral galaxy is the most common type found in the universe. It has different arms, disk and halo region. Milky way is also a spiral galaxy.
