Step-by-step explanation:

Most objects tend to contains nearly equal numbers of negative and positive charges as it is most stable state. In this case, the object does not want to lose or gain electrons in order to get stable.

The repulsive or attractive electrical forces tend to cancel each other.

There are an equal number of positive and negative charges which make the object electrically neutral.

If the object has more negative charge than the positive charge then it makes the object most unstable or vice versa.

Most objects tend to contain the same numbers of positive and negative charge because this is the most stable situation. In fact, if an object has an excess of positive charge, it tends to attract an equal number of negative charges to balance this effect and restore neutrality: the attracted negative charges combine with the excess of positive charges, leaving the object electrically neutral.
