What is the equation that passes through the points (-2,-4) & (8,1) ??? Please help thanks.

to solve a Linear equation we need to find the slope:

-4-1 / -2-8 =1/2

now that we have the slope we can find our x and y
y-1=1/2(x-8)
y=x/2-3
