D. Sound wave, because they (sound waves) need air molecules to travel. Just like in space, there is no air and therefore no sound (since space is a vacuum). Hoped this helped!

Answer:

D: Sound wave

Step-by-step explanation:

  • A sound wave is a mechanical wave that requires a medium to travel. A mechanical wave is unable to transmit its energy through a vacuum. Slinky wave, water waves and Jump rope waves are some of the examples of mechanical waves.
  • All other waves i.e. electromagnetic wave, microwave and light wave don't need any medium to transport their energy and can easily travel through vacuum.
