For this case what you should do is use the following trigonometric relationship:
tan (x) = C.O / C.A
Where
x: angle
C.O: opposite leg
C.A: adjoining catheto
Substituting the values we have:
tan (60) = long / short
tan (60) = long / 2
long = 2 * tan (60)
long = 3.46
Answer:
long = 3.46
