⇒In the equation f(x) given f(3) plug in the value 3 in the place of x and simplify

f(3)=4(3)-2\\f(3)=12-2\\F(3)=10

⇒For g(-4) in the place of x plug in -4 in the equation of g

g(-4)=-2(-4)+1\\g(-4)=8+1\\g(-4)=9

Now we can find the value of of the problem as done BELOW:

(f(3))/(g(-4)) \\(f(3))/(g(-4)) =(10)/(9)

Answer:

10/9

Explanation:

We can calculate f(3) and g(-4)

f(3) = 4*3 - 2 = 12 - 2 =10

and g(-4) = -2 * (-4) + 1 = 8 + 1 = 9

Then it is easy to calculate f(3)/g(-4):

f(3)/g(-4) = 10/9

where we use the values which we calculated before.
