The area would be 60.

The longest side, 17, is the hypotenuse, which means the legs, or base and height, are 8 and 15.

A = 1/2 bh = 1/2(8)(15) = 60.

we know that

[area of triangle]=b*h/2
b=15 units
h=8 units
[area of triangle]=15*8/2---------> 60 units ²
