Elie is a young Jewish boy. He says that he “believed profoundly.” What does this mean? (What is he telling you about himself?)

Answer:

I'm assuming it has something to do with his religion based on the word 'believed' and 'profoundly' means with great extent/intense so he's basically saying his faith in his religion is huge. Or if he wasn't talking about religion than it would just mean that whatever he believed, he believed it to a great extent.
