the climate of new york is continental climate. most of the southeastern part of this state lies in the warm temperature zone. here average winter temperature is below the freezing point. here winter temperatures are cold and snowy. warm and humid air mases influence new york state. it experiences cooler air mases in winter and warmern in summer it gives the maximum annual temperature. precipitation is also reasonable and more even throughout the year. all these are the characteristics of continental climate. it is moslty influenced by continents interior rather than adjacent ocean
