What is the solubility in moles/liter for silver iodide at 25 oc given a ksp value of 8.0 x 10-17. write using scientific notation and use 1 or 2 decimal places (even though this is strictly incorrect!)?

Ksp = [Ag⁺] [I⁻]
8.0 *10⁻¹⁷ = [Ag⁺] [I⁻]
Both [Ag⁺] and [I⁻] are equal and called molar solubility
so Ksp = S . S = S²
S =
√(Ksp) = \sqrt{8.0 x 10^(-17) } = 8.94 x 10⁻⁹ mole/liter
