Answer:

The length of rectangular cardboard=9.8 inches.

Explanation:

We are given that a rectangular cardboard .

The length of cardboard can be found by dividing its area by its width.

We are given that

Width of rectangular board =
4(1)/(4)=(17)/(4) inches.

Area of rectangular board =
41(2)/(3)=(125)/(3)square inches.

We know that area of rectangle=
length* breadth

Length of rectangle=
(area \; of\; rectangle)/(Width)

Substitute all given values in the above formula

Therefore, length of rectangular cardboard=
((125)/(3))/((17)/(4))

Length of rectangular cardboard=
(125* 4)/(3* 17)

Length of rectangular cardboard=
(500)/(51)

Length of rectangular cardboard=9.8 inches.

Hence, the length of rectangular cardboard=9.8 inches.

Length = area/width
.. = (41 2/3 in²)/(4 1/4 in)
.. = (125/3 in²)/(17/4 in)
.. = (125/3)(4/17) in
.. = 500/51 in
.. = 9 41/51 in
___
