Two friends purchased a wooded lot shaped like a right triangle that is 300 ft on each leg. They intend to split the cost of building a fence around the lot. How many feet of fencing material will they have to purchase?

An isosceles right triangle has legs in the ratio 1:1:√2, so a perimeter that is (2+√2) times the length of one side.
.. (2 +√2)*300 ft ≈ 1024.3 ft
