The box is in the shape of cuboid.

The surface area of cuboid is given by:

S.A.= 2(lw + lh +wh)

We are given:

l=14 in. , w=6 in. and h =2 in.

Plugging these in the given formula to find surface area:

S.A.= 2(14*6 + 6*2 +14*2)

Surface Area = 248 square inches.

Answer: Jeremiah has to cover 248 square inches of cereal box.
