Let s represent the number of students surveyed.
.. 0.40s play baseball
.. 0.60*(0.40s) play soccer and baseball
.. 0.60*0.40s = 12 . . . . . . . 12 students play soccer and baseball
.. s = 12/(0.60*0.40) = 12/0.24 = 50
Jonah surveyed 50 students.
