Heather is a cashier. She can ring up 12 customers in 9 minutes. At this rate, how many minutes does it take her to ring up 44 customers?

\bf \begin{array}{ccll} customers&minutes\\ \text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}&\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}\\ 12&9\\ 44&m \end{array}\implies \cfrac{12}{44}=\cfrac{9}{m}\implies m=\cfrac{44\cdot 9}{12}
