The arena’s merchandise department calculates total profit on an item using this formula: t = n(p – c)

t is total profit in pounds n is the number of items sold p is the price the item is sold for c is the cost of the item for the arena to buy

Work out t when n is 35, p is £10 and c is £2.50

First you look at the equation then the substitutions it gives you.All you do is simply plug in what they give you to the equation. So, t=35(10-2.50) 35x10=3500 After that you subtract 2.50 with 3500. So you would get 3497.5 ..

I hope this helps!

Answer: The value of t is 262.50 pounds.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

t=n(p-c)

here, t = total profit in pounds

n = number of items sold

p = price of the item

c = cost of the item

Since we have

n = 35

p = 10

c = 2.50

So, we put all the above values in the given equation:

t=35(10-2.50)\\\\t=35* 7.50\\\\t=262.50\ pounds

Hence, the value of t is 262.50 pounds.
