Two possible floor plans for a new bathroom are shown.

Is there a value for x for which the perimeters are equal?
What is the linear equations?

Answer: B option is correct. To find the perimeter of a rectangle or square you have to add the lengths of all the four sides. x is in this case the length of the rectangle while y is the width of the rectangle.

explanation: I hope that was helpful!

Answer:

Hope it works for u

Explanation:

As we have given two shapes bathroom

square and rectangle

Parameter of square= sum of all the sides ( : In square all sides are equal

Parameter of square= 4*L = 4*(x+3) (:L=x+3

similarly,

In rectangle opposites sides are equal hence

Perimeter of rectangle= 2*length+2*width ( : length=x+4,width can't be seen clearly so I assume and take it width=x+1 hope this is equal to the width of ur question otherwise do the calculation by ur self).

Perimeter of rectangle= 2*(x+4)+2(x+1)

so now we have to find the value of "x" for which both perimeter are equal, so

perimeter of square= perimeter of rectangle

4*(x+3)=2*(x+4)+2(x+1) we can also write as

2(x+3)+2(x+3)=2(x+4)+2(x+1)

This is the linear equation required

now to find value of "x"

simplify both sides, we get

4x+12=4x+10

0≠2 so that not true and also there is no value of "x"

for which both parameters become equal

so from my side "b" option is correct

Please brain-list it if u find it help-full it requires effort!
