Under ordinary, room temperature conditions, the greatest number of elements are metals .

In periodic table the elements located at left , two third of them are metals.

Usually right side of periodic table contains more number of non metals . Among all the elements, 80 percent are metals . So normally at room temperature, all the elements are solids.
