Persuasion is the process of changing or reinforcing a listener's attitudes, beliefs, values or behaviors.

Persuading someone is talking someone into something, or helping them understand, a thought that wasn't theirs initially. Sometimes facts, prior experiences or examples can persuade someone to think or act differently that is outside of their normal activities.
