the beta decay, the parent element emits a beta particle that is equivalent to an electron - ⁰₋₁β. beta particles have a negative charge and no mass.
after the decay, the sum of the charges and masses of the daughter nuclide and emitted particle should be equal to the mass and charge of the parent nuclide.
In beta decay, there's no change in the mass as beta particles do not have a charge, however the daughter nuclide atomic number will increase by 1 to balance the charges.

the daughter nuclide its Cs as its atomic number is one higher than Xe
