President Roosevelt describes the Pearl Harbor bombing as a “date which will live in infamy.” What do you think he means by this phrase? Do you agree with his assessment?

He meant people will never forget Pearl Harbor, and it will be remembered as a bad event in U.S. history.

I think that FDR meant that the bombing of Pearl Harbour was a very aggressive affront to the American people and something which could not be accepted and required strong action to oppose this flagrant act of war on a country not involved in the WWII yet.
