The United Farm Workers (UFW) is a labor union which was formed after the merger of AWOC and NFWA in 1962.


The primary leader of the United Farm Workers was César Chávez.



The UFW was based around local Californian farm communities and was made to represent the legitimate concerns of California farmers of Hispanic origin.


Today, the UFW has more than 10,000 members and its head offices are located in Keene, California. The current president of the organization is Arturo Rodriguez.
