Hello there! The vertex is where the parabola changes direction after meeting its minimum or maximum. In this case, it's where the parabola can be cut by half. As we can see, going over to the right once and going down 4 brings us to the vertex. The vertex is (1, -4).

Answer:

vertex =(1,-4)

Explanation:

Given is a graph of a parabola

We have to find its vertex

From the graph we observe that the parabola is symmetric about a vertical line x=1.

The graph decreases upto x=-1 and then starts increasing from x=-1

x intercepts are -1 and 3

y intercept is -3

Minimum point = (1,-4)

Since the parabola is open up, the minimum is reached at the vertex.

Hence vertex =(1,-4)
