Please explain . She added two decimal numbers that result in a sum of 76.23. What two addenda could she have used? Justify your solution?

The easiest way to do this would be to think of 2 addenda that would result in the number in EACH place value.

For example to get a 3 in the hundredths place, use a 1 and a 2.

To get a 2 in the tenths place, use a 1 and a 1.

To get a 6 in the ones place, use a 2 and a 4.

To get a 7 in the tens place, use a 3 and a 4.

You addends would be 32.11 and 44.12 using these numbers.
