The term coined after the end of World War II to describe the Nazis’ strategy to exterminate European Jews and other groups is the Final Solution.

The final solution was an official code name used by the Nazis for their operation to kill all the Jews in Germany.

This was a pan-national strategy and was carried out across all German occupied lands.

It culminated into the Holocaust, which led to the death of 6 million Jews including women, children and the elderly.

Initially, there were plans for mass deportations of the Jews to either Palestine or French colonies in Africa.

However, these plans were abandoned due to logistic reasons and more 'realistic and efficient' method of extermination was chosen.
