Let x = width
Then, x + 3 = length
So, 2x + 2(x + 3) = 26
2x + 2x + 6 = 26
4x = 20
x = 5width = x = 5m and length = x + 3 = 8m Area = (length)(width) = (5)(8) =
40 m2
