We are given :

Length = 4 + x

Width = x

Height = x² + 1


Volume = Length * width * height

Multiplying length , width and height,


V = (4+x)(x)(x^(2) +1)


=(x^(2) +4x )(x^(2) +1)

Using foil method,


=x^(4) +x^(2) +4x^(3) +4x

So the highest power is 4 here.
