Paine suggests about the king's action is that, his actions make Britain poorer.
Paine rejects the contentions for having a king in light of the fact that the main powers a ruler has are ruinous ones, such as announcing war and sending his nation into debt. Notice that both of these things include outcomes that the ruler doesn't need to manage afterwards.
